Open Skating Rules
1. Obey the Skate Guard – Failure to comply with the Public Skating Guidelines, CARC Ice Arena staff and Skate Guards will result in loss of skating privileges
2. Skaters Must Skate in a counter clockwise direction
3.No Carrying of children at anytime on the ice
4. No shoes on the ice, all patrons must have skates on to be on the ice
5. No hockey sticks or pucks allowed on the ice during open skate
6. NO FIGURE SKATING PRACTICE when attendance exceeds 20 patrons
7. No Sliding on the ice
8. No speed skating, playing tag, “crack the whip” or rowdiness
9. No food or drinks on the ice
10. Always be considerate to other skaters
11. No sitting on the boards, or player’s benches.
12. No throwing or playing catch with balls or other objects
13. NO CHAIRS or OTHER DEVICES used for support on the ice
14. The push bar aids are only to be used by those skaters learning how to skate. (No pushing skaters on them)
15. CARC or Pine Valley Ice Arena is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
16.CARC Ice Arena is not responsible for any injuries that may occur during open skating.
17. NO BACKWARDS SKATING when attendance exceeds 20 patrons
18. NO ONE on the ice or in the player benches during the resurfacing time
19. If you disobey these rules, you will have to sit out for 10 minutes.
The second offense you will be asked to leave.
20. The Cloquet Area Recreational Facility and Pine Valley Ice Arena staff thank you for your cooperation.
